Fast Sigs

Follow these tips to make your WebTV sig load faster. People tend to get cranky when your sig takes 3 minutes to load. (the nerve)

Here's how it works:

W is Width H is Height of an image. �-- USE these! (this allows the text portion of your email or post to show up while the image is still loading)

After the <<>img src="?" add the width & height of the gif or jpg. It will look something like this:

<<>img src="http://put_address_of_image_here.gif" width="?" height="?">

O is Optimize the image. Reduce the file size of the image by taking it to one of these places:

GIf Works choose "File, open image, Optimize & Reduce colors

My Imager choose File, open, Optimize & Reduce colors

Then Upload or Transload.. the optimized gif or jpg to your own files (use the freeloader link)

T is Tables. If you are going to put images and text into tables, make several smaller tables instead of putting everything into one large table. (if you don't know how to make a table, go to this page or this page to learn

A is Animated gifs. Animated gifs take longer to load than gifs that do not have movement. Use animated gifs sparingly, one per sig will do.

S. S. is Same Server. Make sure all of your images in your sig come from the same server. If you have 5 gifs from different servers, all those 5 different web addresses will have to be called up on the web before your images will load.

(M? in Whotass? yea.lol..bear with me here) is MUSIC Nobody wants to hear it no matter what they say. Maybe Once but that's it. Forget music in emails or give ppl a choice. Make the midi into a clickable link using the
